Accreditation for CPD Events
CPD Accreditation department reviews applications from private as well as public sector customers that apply for CPD points when they host medical and ethical forums, conventions, or any other event where medical professionals registered by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) attend these events.
SAMA is accredited by the HPCSA and regular audits are performed to ensure transparency and CPD points are allocated to events in accordance to the guidelines set by the HPCSA.
CPD Accreditation of Activities
Please submit the following documents to cpd@samedical.org to approve your activity:
- Application form – CPD2a and Debtors details form
- Agenda, accompanying reading material, presentation or link, summaries also acceptable
- CV of Presenter/s
Invitations and all advertising material to be sent out if any – No advertising of CPD points on invitations until accreditation letter received.
Invoice to follow once application received
Please note all submitted applications must be paid for regardless of event cancellations or approval.
SAMA is an approved HPCSA Accreditor for HPCSA registered Doctors and Specialist’s please ensure that you are applying at the correct HPCSA Medical Professional Board for your event.
