Letter to GP's concerning Momentum issues

Dear Member,

It has come to our notice, that many Practitioners have had a communication from Momentum Health stating that there has been a change in their Category. In most cases their status has deteriorated, for e.g. from Category 1 to Category 3.

We have been advised that this is due to a change made to Momentum Health’s profiling methodology. (This is being adjusted continuously). The change appears to have had a big impact on a relatively small number of GP practices which manage chronic patients.

Should you have experienced a similar issue or any related matter, please inform us. All issues will be addressed in a meeting to be held with Momentum Health as soon as possible. Please send your queries to rosannan@samedical.org
