COVID 19: Revised Compensation Fund Directive on Workplace Acquired COVID-19

Dear SAMA Member,

The Compensation Fund at the Department of Labour has issued revised Directions in relation to Worlplace Acquired COVID-19 (24 July).

These replace the previous guidance issued in March 2020.

The Directions include a new category of very high risk healthcare workers, as well as confirmation for cover of tests and other treatments related to any complications of infection.

In complicated cases, the Compensation Fund has indicated that each case will be reviewed based on merit.

Documentation required remains essentially the same, but new contact details are provided for manual submissions of claims.

The COVID-19 exposure questionnaire has also been updated slightly.
