SAMA PERSAL migration update
By now many of you will have been called by our team to assist you with the migration process from PERSAL to debit order - please see below for a brief recap of the history of this campaign. Team members have fed back that they are enjoying their conversations with members, and we would like to thank you all for taking the time to engage.
Also, many thanks to those of you who have already processed the paperwork – we have tried to keep it to a minimum to make it easier to handle. We are also grateful for the feedback and the changes in membership details that are a welcome side effect of personal contact. The team back at the office is hard at work processing the volumes of requests to change payment methods that are coming through and will also be updating records.
Once again, we are grateful you recognise that, especially now when healthcare workers are on the frontline of the pandemic response, it is essential we speak as one, with a united voice, to ensure that we are adequately prepared and protected for this fight.
How do I change?
SAMA has come up with simple ways to assist members in the migration to a debit-order system. For easy access to this form of payment, click on this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe3KfgSrJC9wng6dToMiC4CtMPDkE4wzXaGqCorEqlQ89UXsQ/viewform. By completing this form online, your deduction from PERSAL will be cancelled and your SAMA membership will continue as normal.
Double debit If you have authorised SAMA to run a debit order, we will ensure that we cancel the PERSAL deduction and you will not be double debited.
If you already pay by debit order
If you already pay by debit order, you do not have to do anything – your membership fees will continue to be deducted, as usual. If you missed our previous communications in this regard – which cover the historical reasons for this appeal, as well as a summary of the benefits you receive from belonging to a united organisation that offers medical personnel a strong and united voice – you can access them here:
